Jeff Buckley’s only studio album was released in the US on 23 August 1994 (it had been in stores a week earlier in the UK and Europe).
The album received mixed reviews (although Mojo named it Album of the Year) and sold poorly on its initial release, peaking at #149 on the US charts.
Sales increased substantially after Buckley’s death in 1997, and it has gone on to sell more than 2 million copies.
